This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

Second Hand Book Sale

On Thursday the School Council held a book sale after school, selling on unwanted and unused books that had kindly been donated by staff and pupils at St Mary Magdalen’s.

It was lovely to see all the families come by to buy books and support the student council’s chosen charity ‘Centrepoint’.

Centrepoint is a charity that helps Homeless young people, aged 16-25, who are given the opportunity to stay with Centrepoint for up to two years with ongoing support for another six months to make sure they can live independently. They provide accommodation, health support and life skills to get them back into education, training and employment.

It was lovely to see the student council work so hard to raise money for their chosen cause and we would like to thank all the parents and staff who supported the sale.

Total raised = £32.44
