This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

St George's Mass

We were invited to attend the 'Beginning of the New School Year Mass' held at St George's Cathedral on the 12th September.
Five of our pupils attended with Mrs Saunders, Mrs Campbell-Hill and Mrs Bekir and the children represented the school very well. One of our pupils, Darragh, was invited up to the altar to receive the prayer book for the Lewisham area. This will be used to write prayers from each Catholic school so we are very fortunate to be given the honour of writing in it first.

The Mass was very uplifting with a Gospel choir performing hymns such as 'Worthy' and 'Worthy is the Lamb'. It was also the last time Doctor Anne Bamford, the Director of Education in the Diocese of Southwark, would address the congregation before taking up a new role. We wish her well as she pursues new challenges.
