Our Year 6 celebrated seven years at St Mary Magdalen's Catholic Primary School with a memorable Prom Night.
All of the pupils in Year 6 dressed up to walk on the red carpet into the school hall, to celebrate their time at St Mary Magdalen's. They also celebrated their academic achievements whilst at the school.
After having spent seven years at the school, the parents, staff and PTA came together to cook and prepare a glorious feast for all to share and enjoy.
The music was provided by a parent in Year 5 and our chef, Cliff, stayed behind so that we had access to the school kitchen. The parents decorated the hall and some of the Teaching Assistants helped with the organisation and shopping. The Year 6 parents took the time and effort to ensure their children looked so spectacular.
Thank you to one of our Governors, Mrs Cairns, who gave a speech to thank all those who were involved in the Prom. A massive thank you to all parents and staff who came together to make this a memorable occasion. Lastly we thank out Year 6 pupils for their hard work in our school and for working hard to achieve their results. A big thank you also has to go to all staff for teaching and guiding our Year 6 pupils and ensuring they are ready for their secondary education.
We wish Year 6 God's blessing in your future endeavours and may St Mary Magdalene watch over you.
This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.
