This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

Science Week - Flight

It's 'Science Week' at St. Mary Magdalen’s from 12–24 May.

In assembly today children took part in live investigations into air and gravity.

In last week’s science assembly children from all classes were thinking about flight from kites (Reception) right up to rockets and jet planes (KS2).

Over the next week children will be investigating air and gravity to see how they effect flight. This learning will involve skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM).

A Flight celebration assembly will take before half-term. Keep an eye on the blog for updates of what your child’s class is doing!
