This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

Year Four put on a Legendary Show

Congratulations to Year Four who performed at the Laban Theatre on Tuesday night.  The day started with a technical rehearsal to set the lights and sound cues at 9.45 in the morning and ended at 9.15 in the evening!

The performance was part of 'Lewisham Live' – a festival of music and dance celebrating the talents of young people across Lewisham and beyond.  Only six other groups took part, including secondary schools and youth groups who each combined live music with dance.

St. Mary Magdalens were lucky to be selected for the second year running - and this year they performed a dance choreographed by Mr. Bowes, entitled 'Legend', with themes drawn from the children's studies on the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.

Very well done to all the children who took part and many thanks to Mrs Bekir for accompanying the children on the evening.
