This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

WE Day

On 22 March Miss Clarke, Ms Antwi and Ms Bekir took some pupils from years 5 and 6 to WE Day at the Wembley Arena.  WE Day is an inspirational event fuelled by an educational initiative, WE Schools.  Together, they connect and empower a new generation to to shift the world from “me” to “we”—from a focus on the individual to the power of community.

We were able to hear inspirational songs, stories and messages from a wide range of people such as Jessie J, Kate Winslet and Bruce Dickinson.  We were all able to take something positive away from the day and connect with the variety of speakers.

On the way home we felt quite excited talking about how we as individuals can come together and make a positive impact on our wider community and the world we live in and the pupils are looking forward to developing some initiatives in their classrooms.

"WE Day was really cool.  We got to see famous people such as Jessie J, Kate Winslet and more. The person who inspired me the most was Kate Winslet, because when she was younger she always wanted to be an actor and always had a part to play in the school play.  Then when she got older she auditioned for a part in a film and didn’t get it.  Everyone was telling her that she was never going to be an actor, but she didn’t give up.  Then one day she got a part in Titanic.  That is why she inspired me the most - she kept on trying.  On WE Day we also had to learn the WE Day dance and do it a couple of times throughout the show.  It was really fun and energetic.

"I’d like to thank Miss Clarke and Ms Antwi for taking us to this spectacular day." [A Year 6 Pupil]
