This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

'Thank You' Letter Awards

Over the past few weeks all of the children, in Key Stage 2, have been taking part in the ‘Thank You’ Letter Awards, as organised by the Jubilee Centre for Character & Virtues, in Birmingham.

The Awards is a competition designed to encourage the children to explore who they are grateful to and why.  It has been an excellent opportunity for the children to really think about all those around them who inspire and contribute to their lives.

As part of the nationwide competition, the letters will be judged and the winners invited to a prestigious awards ceremony at the House of Lords!

The entries received as part of the competition have all been amazing and show just how reflective the children are of how those around them contribute to their lives. Although all entries were a pleasure to read we have selected some winners from each class.

Year 6 pupil - for his letter of admiration and thanks to teachers.
Year 5 pupil - for a wonderful letter of thanks to her parents.
Year 4 pupil– for a heart-warming letter of thanks to her local priest.
Year 3 pupil– for an appreciative letter to her role model.

We look forward to seeing how we do in the nationwide competition.
