This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

Infant Nativity

On Wednesday we had an eventful day at School.  In the afternoon Year Six watched their last KS1 Nativity Play in the school hall in the afternoon, then in the evening we held our Carol Service at St Mary Magdalen’s Church.  Tears were shed by at least one Year Six pupil, who said “I am so sad it is my last Nativity at the school. The children were so cute.”

An amazing effort was put in by all of the Key Stage One staff who prepared the children so well for this year’s Nativity play.  All the children sang like angels, having learnt all the songs and carols by heart.  The spectacular acting reminded us of the true Christmas message. Parents were enchanted as they watched the story of Jesus’ birth being told.  With wonderful costumes and percussion instruments played by Reception, all of the words were sung out clearly for the audience to hear. It was a truly memorable moment for parents and staff to treasure.

We would like to thank parents for helping your children to learn their lines and song words.
