This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

Year 1's Christmas Winter Village

Cod and chips, please!
This week our class has been transformed into a Christmas Winter Village.

We have spent the week creating our own Christmas stalls.  We created eight different Christmas stalls; the popcorn stall, the burger stall, the nail salon, the football stall, the hot chips stall, pizza stall, sweets stall and the hot chocolate stall.

Some popcorn for Ms Clarke

During the week children worked in groups to create a menu for each stall and used their knowledge of money to decide how much each item would cost.  We learnt about the value of coins last week and used that learning to help us this week.

On the Friday we used our money skills to become either customers or business owners and our Christmas Winter Village came to life!

Mrs Saunders drops by for a bite to eat!
We had a fantastic week creating our Christmas Village. Ms Clarke and Mrs Labiche had a wonderful time at the Christmas market, drinking marshmallow hot chocolate, getting their nails painted and enjoying the Christmas Deluxe Burger.

Mrs Saunders even stopped by for a slice of pizza, some cheesy hot chips and a Christmas gingerbread man.

Well done Year 1, we were so proud of your Christmas Winter Village!
