This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

A Visit From An Author

Today we were lucky enough to have the author E. R. Reilly visit the School.  He spoke to the whole school about his books and gave the children ‘top-tips’ for writing stories of their own.

During his assembly he set many writing challenges to engage the children and inspire them in their own writing.  The children were thoroughly engaged throughout, and were eager to hear more about Mr. Reilly's books.  The assembly had many hilarious parts, which amused the younger children, together with a great deal of dramatic tension fopr developing our more advanced readers.

During the assembly Mr. Reilly read extracts from a variety of books.  You can visit his website to learn more about his books, all of which are suitable for children, and see videos of Mr. Reilly teaching children how to write stories.

If you would like to buy any of his books you will need to fill out a form and return it to the office by no later than 10.00am this Thursday 24 November.

We can't wait to read the amazing stories that our children will now be writing, having been inspired by Mr. Reilly!
