This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

The Royal Albert Hall

On Monday 21 March, Years Five and Six travelled by public transport to the Classical Spectacular at the Royal Albert Hall - an annual favourite.

The event was hosted by charismatic conductor John Rigby with the world-reknowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Band of the Grenadier Guards.  In an amazing venue with state-of-the-art acoustics, the pupils were treated to the excitement of live performances.

Tenor Jeffrey Gwaltney and baritone Wyn Carreg sang a duet from Bizet's 'The Pearl Fishers'.  Then Sibelius's 'Finlandia' provided a contemplative musical experience, enhanced by lighting and lasers.

Finally we witnessed a truly spectacular ending with the '1812 Overture', accompanied by the muskets and cannons of the Moscow Militia, fireworks, bright lasers and a raucous vocal response from the attentive audience.
