This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

The Guildhall School of Music and Drama - Go, make you ready!

On 23 March, Years Five and Six were privileged to be able to go to The Guildhall of Music and Drama, to see a ground-breaking production, of Shakespeare’s sonnets performed by final year students.

Having studied Shakespeare in school, pupils were well-repared and able to recognise some of the sonnets and the plays they came from.

In a small theatre, the actors brought Shakespeare to life, with skill, dexterity and the charisma of seasoned professionals.  Our pupils were amazed at their ability to remember lines, play instruments, sing and energetically perform for two hours without a break.

The contemporary themes running through Shakespeare’s works inspired teachers and pupils alike to be excited by his writing, well over four hundred years after his death.  A huge thank you to Mr Mc Grath, our Chair of Governors, for making this all possible.
