This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

Lucky children see Wimbledon stars

Andy Murray serves up another ace!
Thanks to Mr. Pinks successful applications each Autumn this was the third year in a row the School was able to take children to the All England Club at Wimbledon to get a taste of the Championships.

This year, nine children were able to go, accompanied by three staff.

We were allocated two seats on Centre Court and another ten on No.2 Court.

This meant that only 1 child at a time could be on Centre Court, but this worked fine with top-class players Venus Williams, Andy Murray (see top photo) and Roger Federer on the order of play!

The two children in the photo below had their picture taken by Mr. West, holding an oversize raquet costing over £400!

Sadly their limited pocket money for the trip meant that the racquet was a little too expensive for either of them to buy - but in any event it would have been rather too big for the train and tube journey back to School!

We all had a great time . . . even poor Josie (Y6) who was on crutches!
