This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

St.John's Ambulance teach us First Aid Skills

On 27 February years Year Five and Six were visited by Fola Odebunmi, Youth Development Officer for Lewisham's St John Ambulance.  He works for a project called RISE supported by local government, Youth United and City of London Corporation, for children between 14-25 years old.

As part of a project called 'Stick It', which is delivered for young people by young people, children are taught first aid skills that could save someone's life.

St.Mary Magdalen's has been part of the Jimmy Mizen 'Many Hands - Making Lewisham Safe' project and community safety is already a priority in our School.

We are grateful to St.John's Ambulance for this free and invaluable training to help make our pupils safer in their community.
