This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

Former pupils' Confirmation Mass

I was very proud to attend the Confirmation Mass of pupils who only recently attended St. Mary Magdalen's School.   The Celebrant was Bishop Patrick Lynch who has visited the School on many occasions.  It was a special spiritual experience to see the children continue on their journey within the Catholic faith.
A big thank you to Mrs Azodo, Sophie and Dominic who were our Catechists and who had spent so much of their own time in preparing the young people this important sacrament.
It was a pleasure to see so many families supporting their children on their journey of faith.  St.Mary Magdalen’s Church and School are of course only part of the Catholic family of this Parish.  It is the wider congregation (so many of whom were present to support the young people being confirmed), who completed the role of welcoming and supporting those ‘special people’ in confirming and renewing the promises made by them at their First Holy Communion.  So too we must thank Mrs Fabienne Borget who sang so beautifully for us.
Finally we would like to officially welcome Father Oliver, who very recently joined our Parish.  He has already spent several hours in School meeting the staff and children, beginning what we hope to be a very beneficial partnership.
