This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

St Mary Magdalen's R.E. Survey

I know that you will all be very pleased to learn that Lewisham Education Authority has recategorised our School from a 2a (good) to a 1b (outstanding). This follows their termly reviews of pupil progress and attainment, behaviour and safeguarding, leadership and management and the quality of teaching across the School.

Whilst the LEA reviews the quality of our Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural provision, they do not comment on the School’s ‘Catholicity and Spiritual Ethos’. As parents and carers I know that you choose St.Mary Magdalen’s not only because of the high standards of education we provide for your children, but also because of the religious and spiritual guidance the School offers within the traditions of the Catholic faith.
In order that the Governors and I keep up to date with your views on the religious aspects of your children’s education I ask you to complete a survey for us by clicking on THIS LINK.
This will only take a few moments of your time.  Please respond by Friday 27 February 2015 at the latest.
