This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

Welcome to Reception Class Parents and Carers!

A very warm welcome to St. Mary Magdalen’s Catholic Primary School!

Now that all the children are in class and seem to have settled in very well, I would like to invite all of you to get to know the teachers, teaching assistants (TAs) and other school staff better by attending the PTA Italian Night on Weds 1 October.  Please see information in earlier posts here on this website/blog.

For those of you who haven’t had children at this School before, this evening will provide an excellent opportunity for you to meet the school community in a social setting.  We are a small School and as such people tend to know each other and get on very well.

The Italian Night is an opportunity for you not only to meet to share your children’s experiences in their first few weeks at School (and your experience too!), but also to get to know other parents whose children are in the Reception class or in other classes higher up the School.  You will be able to meet and chat with the School Governors (a number of whom are parents like you!), our Parish Priest and other members of the school community, who you may not yet have a chance to talk to at the ‘school gate’.

Please come along, have a great meal and join our very special ‘family’ of children and parents. It is also your chance to find out about future PTA events and perhaps get more involved yourself.
