This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

'Make a Difference' bike stunts entertain the School

Today the School hosted the ‘MAD’ (Make A Difference) stunt bike show to excited pupil.  The whole school marvelled at stunts performed by Joe Maher, who has already accrued an amazing fifteen years’ experience.  He trains many hours a week and is a professional stunt biker.  His bike is made from carbon fibre, aluminium and titanium - high performance metals used in on the space shuttle. The bike is an adapted mountain bike, without a seat to make his stunts safer to perform.

The MAD bike team performed at the start of the Tour de France this weekend and have also performed in front of our Royal Family.

Today, with raucous encouragement from the pupils, a new record was set.  Joe jumped 1.1m high over a pole with his bike (see photo).  The School was given some unique badges to award to pupils this year who have excelled and ‘Made A Difference’ to the  School.

After some incredible feats, the pupils were reminded never to ride a bike without a protective helmet.
