This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

Year 6 Week Away at Mill Rythe

This week Year 6 are away at Mill Rythe Activity Centre in Hampshire, and sent back the following bulletin.
We arrived at Mill Rythe safely and the weather is hot, hot, hot!  We met Tom and Mitch, our instructors for the week, then had lunch alongside a pair of very hungry ducks.
Then we learnt how to survive in a plane crash . . . in Canada . . . in January.  Bear Grylls eat your heart out!
The afternoon activity was buggy building, which everyone entered into with gusto.
Then, after a hearty meal, we went kayaking on the lake, and though it started to rain it didn't matter too much as most of us were already wet having capsized, with much fun and hilarity all round.

Here are a few quotes from the children:

"You get a lot more freedom here.  The instructors are fun and enthusiastic . . . I've not done kayaking before." [Aamar]

"We learned new things, like how to be able to survive.  Mum and Dad - I can guarantee you are not wasting your money!"  [Ose]
