This is a nurturing environment where children, staff, parents and governors know each other and share a common understanding of the School’s purpose – to ‘aim high’ and through shared understanding of Gospel values, ensure that the potential of every child is fully achieved. Our children are happy, sociable, well-behaved and value our diversity, which enriches everything we do. We are recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the local authority and are confident this will be endorsed at our next Ofsted inspection.

Our new Parish Priest, Father Philip Pak

Father Philip
A warm welcome to our new parish priest, Father Philip Pak, whose Induction Mass was held at St.Mary Magdalen's Church on 23 November.
Parishioners turned up on a crisp autumn evening, and there was standing room only in the Church.  Mr. West and Mrs Saunders and family, staff and Governors of St. Mary Magdalen's School attended, and Church leaders were well-represented too. Children from the School acted as alter servers.
The Rite of Induction provided an opportunity to pray collectively for Fr. Philip, and Bishop Patrick asked that he “focus his work for justice and peace in the light of the Gospel."
After the Mass, the School Hall was opened for a feast prepared by the parishioners to celebrate Father Philip being entrusted with the keys of the Church.
